Since there's no 1/48th scale Brequet 19,and probably never will be available, is ther anyone with an idea which model(s) I could use as a base for a conversion?

Thanks very much for any help!

This is a great resource of WWI models in various scales:

It will take you some time to research through the various model makers, but you'll be surprise in what you find. I'm listed in here as well under, "Greg Padilla". My 1/72 scale planes are for "Bluemax". Some one had to build a Brequet XIX. Good luck!

There's a Czech model of the Breguet XIX available in 1/72, in several versions. A-Model are the manufacturers IIRC.

Hi

I only do 1/72. And I have the czech model and the earlier vac(I prefer vac kits). I don't know of other versions. While the 19 is derived from the 14….I am not aware of a 14 in your scale either.

In the day, I used 1/72 kits of the N.17 to make my own conversions of the, then not available, N.24 and 27, which is mostly using parts and sheet to round out the fuse. I suspect it would be fairly easy on the 19 as well.

@RockyRusso

Yes, I've got a few Breguet 14s in 1/48th scale (Aurora) which I use as Spanish and French during the Riff wars.
That rather streamlined 19 hull will probably prove too difficult for me, but thanks for the idea!
