OK
after another round or two of painting, the Yankess are complete. As of now, with the exception of the flags, all the minis from the Baccus ACW starter box are completed. I did have a round or two of my matte finish going north on me (pun intended) and it is much more prevalent in the pics than in person. I will take steps to correct them in person though. For the Zouaves, when I painted the Confederates, I painted the Zouaves as a "generic" Zouave unit, the next set I painted to be Wheats Tigers, and moved the "generic" ones to the North side. Also, two regiments were painted not-Blue. They are painted as the 41t New York (green and gray) and 203rd Pennsylvania (all green,) just to break up all the blue. Thank you Mr. Troiani. Here's the link to the Yankees: link Here's the link to the Confederates: link cheers! Big Joe Duke |

Good work! I too grew tired of inadvertent frosting from spray matte finishes. I now use brush-on matte finish only, and have not had any problems since. |

I see what you mean about the frost, excellent first go though. |
