We at Time Portal passages also had a coupel of articles on the GWI several years ago. They are among the articles listed in our Free upon request list that was mentioned in an earlier TMP post. |

Rudy, I can't seem to find that earlier TMP post. How can I find the list of articles that is Free Upon Request? |

Send me an email through the address that is listed on the TMP manufacturers site under Time Portal Passages. On the TMP thread of "Availability of My FREE rules sets" under game Design, the thread contains a list of the items available. All but the books are listed.. |

It may be a long shot sincethey are greek titles but you may try to get some of the sources books through the US library exchange program. You would be surprised what the universities have on their shelves. The Evones and the 3 volumes set mentioned by the Greek high command are in English. One volume was on a General history. So there is a better chance that you can get them more than the color plate book. Also if you get books from Bulgaria (one company even has an ebay store) make sure you get the titles in ENglish. Most are on the Balkans and later wars but at one time there was a title covering earier in the 1800s. There are also several informative websites. |

Ok guys, if anyone is interested in gaming this period, i may be able to help. I have the artcles from Spiros who published them in MW. I caught up with spiro before his sudden death and we had started to draft up notes to do an osprey type book on the armies but then it ground to a halt
In any case i have books in english and greek including many uniform plates. If anyone thinks that it would be a worthwhile project, i am happy to drag out the references and start work on it again. Would be great if anyone wants to assist or critique stuff as it is written. The period is very colourful and if you put aside national bias (i.e. greek)was pretty interesting in that it had skirmishes, large battles and sieges. Oh and please excuse this "advert" but i have lots of spiro's greek miniatures which i can let go of in due course. regards |
