I've just uploaded a couple of pics to my blog of two Valkyrie painted by GW staffers in the Paris store at Gare St Lazare – they have certainly used a non-conformist approach!

Note that "anime" is the general term for cartoon animation in both Japanese and French. At least one of the shows (with attached toy licensing) to make the rounds recently in the US is actually French.
