Hi there,

can anyone tell me what colours the epaluettes for Sergeants in the Fusilier Coys. of the French army were?

THX,

Burkhard

They had the same epaulettes as the ORs i.e. blue piped red (in most cases). Only the sgts in the elite coys had extra trim such as gold cords mixed into their fringed epualettes and gold crescents. It was the same for the Leger except with silver distinctions in the elite coys.

Or, to be more clear, fusilier NCOs did not wear epaulettes. They wore the standard shoulder straps – blue piped red.
