So, as I've promised I've finally posted up images of my ECW Stow-on-the-Wold minis that I've done. These are the Billy Bones Workshop paper minis. Hope you like:

Looks great, Forest. I think they look like a children's book army. Lot's of fun. I think I would agree with you on the halving the size. The benefit of doing paper is it's fast and cheap, so you might as well go big. It's not like it will take up that much more room to store or carry to the con. You could even have them ready for the Baltimore Games Day.

Nice play on words. I take it you know that Upper and Lower Slaughter are not far from Stow? As a small child I lived in Bourton on the Water. Laurie Lee, who wrote a memoir of the Spanish Civil War was a local character.

I agree the 'figures' do look rather attractive. Nice work.

Thanks all. nycjadie, they are really cheap, all that printing only cost me about $25.00. It did take quite a while to cut them out, trim them, and base them though. I'm going to run this at my local club a few times to work out the kinks, but I'm definitely going to double the number of stands I believe. Unfortunately I can't make it to the Baltimore Games Day because I'm in Denver, but I do have the game going for Fall-In!

Jim, actually the blog name is a direct translation of my Chinese name. I'm half-Chinese, so it's legit. I always thought it was fortuitous for a wargamer to have a name that translates to "Slaughter in the Woods" or "Massacre in the Forest"!

Maybe you should run Teutoburger Wald or Huertgen Forest next?

I shall consider those, Jim.
