I know that I have always said that I am only painting 6mm now, but I'm doing these for a friend!

To balance things out there is also some 6mm SF :)

That red is far too bright for a para beret.

Nor was the Sten silvered. Of course, on those figures (this has nothing to do with the painting), the weapons resemble Stens as much as the figures resemble humans, so I suppose anything goes.

Holbytlan airborne with combi-weapons, perhaps. And we'd gone months without looking at those four-head-high miseries.

Nice work on the Denisons, though.

Ah, yes: you might want to note that the Battlefront Stens are not the later, all-metal version; they appear to be intended as Mk Is with wodden grip and stock:

…with mighty magazines.

Who makes those tanks?

Phil Walling07 Sep 2009 1:19 p.m. PST

The tanks are Battletech tanks, Ironwind or Ral Partha Europe. I can't remember for the life of me what they are called though.

awesome job on the paras! it has been a while( two years), due to multiple eye surgeries that i have tried to paint.

thanks for the motivation to get on with my Eureka 15 French Indochina figs. with reduced eyesight i was hesitant on trying camouflage. aint gonna match yours…but i gonna try!

I usually paint my figs a little "brighter" than in real life also. I think it helps to see them on the table. Also, when you use black primer, the colors tend to be darker unless you paint them very thick.

Good job with the paras! I like them a lot.
