Did the Austrian Chevaux cavalry green coated units have reversed coat colors for their trumpeters? |

No. The only difference would be the red crest instead of the usual black & yellow. |

I have also seen some illustrations, I believe by Andre North, that showed like a strip of cloth attached at each shoulder so that it would fly back behind the trumpeter, or hang down his back. I beleive these were either in red or the facing color, and heavily laced in gold. Now, I may be completely wrong on this. But maybe it will jog someone's memory who knows more than I. Rightly or wrongly something many years ago caused me to paint mine this way. The cloth was cast on the figure. The regiment I did had red facings, and my cloth is red. Tom Tom |

I believe the strip mentionned was for Bavarian chevaulegers |

they were two bands of cloth attached at each shoulder at the back (from shoulder to waistbelt), worn by cuirassiers and dragoon trumpeters. |
