Colbert, those flags and fannions are indeed brilliant! Many thanks for sharing them--and your superbly painted AB's too--a terrific reference for those who collect this scale. |

tfc, I used the thin wire that went over a Rioja bottle, but any thin wire would do.I also replaced the pole with steel wire(?)for the KGL. Regards, |

Colbert Did you simply Glue and bend the flags into shape? Did you use PVA Glue, or some other? Cheers |
colbert | 18 Sep 2009 7:39 a.m. PST |
Trailape, I use connect glue stick(scotch & pritt(?) do similar)The glue is ideal for paper. Fix the flag to the pole wait a few mins then bend to shape. Then i coat with satin varnish (water based)to protect. I wouldn`t ever use PVA glue even when watered down. Regards, |

I use PVA glue all the time BUT I also use a laswer printer, might cause running with Ink jet water base inks. I mostly however handpaint my flags unless its a LENDER unit then I go paper, |

Recommend the brass wire off a Rioja or Chianti bottle for 28mm work. I have artillery limbers pulled by the twisted wire segments or picture wire in brass, Aigulettes for Officers and Garde Gendarme d'Elite Conversions
.even if you do not use, nothing wrong with the grog! |
