Hey, so I got my first 15mm figures today which I ordered from Khurasan, and included was a teeny packet that had a Karakarine in it, I figured you'd all like to see him. I know the picture quality isn't the best, first time shooting such a small target.

This is my review of the minis:

Once Jon gives me permission to post I'll add pictures which include comparison shots against other well known ranges.

Cheers

SHARK ATTACK!!

LOL A very nice sculpt, especially as from the photo it looks like a well-made 25mm figure. I don't normally liek humanoid aliens, but this is rather a clever one, and his equipment makes logical sense, not to mention looking alien. How tall is it exactly?

sharkbait05 Sep 2009 5:05 p.m. PST

That looks awesome! My "to buy" list of 15mm SF minis seems to grow daily. I'm looking forward to seeing the whole line of shark marines.

Brutorz Bill05 Sep 2009 5:12 p.m. PST

Sweet! Another addition to my MUST BUY list! *sigh* : )

khurasanminiatures05 Sep 2009 5:50 p.m. PST

That'll teach me to send people advanced copies of models, lol. Should have thought of that! I hadn't planned on revealing them on the internet yet. Oh well, my fault! grin

Glenn M05 Sep 2009 6:17 p.m. PST

I apologize, I had presumed there wouldn't be any issues since you had sent one with the package. Well consider all those extra eyes that are now wanting one. However if you'd like I'll pull the pics.

EDIT: Nevermind, I pulled them. Let me know when I can put them back up though.

khurasanminiatures05 Sep 2009 6:29 p.m. PST

Glenn, it's not your fault, it's mine! I should have asked you not to post it. I was packing 27 orders (!!) and was a little giddy by then so i wasn't thinking of the business plan. I appreciate your pulling the pics and i'll be sure to let you know when i'm ready to post them up.

DARN!!!! I MISSED IT!!!!

Oh sure, bait and switch…..

You guys are just teasing us.

Sounds like a figure set that might be better sans clothing.

Glenn M05 Sep 2009 6:40 p.m. PST

Sorry guys, just behaving myself. Though, I might ask, how does it hurt your business model to have them posted?

Top Gun Ace05 Sep 2009 6:55 p.m. PST

Well, if you post them, there will then be demand for them, and then people will want to order them, thereby creating a distraction from other pursuits, resulting in a subsequent lack of focus on the issues at hand, and negating rambling notes like this from the 15mm Sci-Fi customer masses……

;-)

I saw the picture briefly and thought it looked pretty cool.

Land Shark?

Glenn M06 Sep 2009 8:02 a.m. PST

Yeah, with a gun, and clothing that makes good. I like all the little details that make this figure pop. Easily as good as many 25mm I have painting in my life.

wminsing07 Sep 2009 12:32 p.m. PST

Wait, let me get this straight. Not only do you have the minis back, you have enough to actually send them out to customers, and we still get no pics on the website? khurasanminiatures, sometimes you kill me. 0_0

He's taunting you.

And to make it worse, mine is already painted, but I can't show it to anyone!!!!

Top Gun Ace07 Sep 2009 1:59 p.m. PST

Maybe you should show it to Mark, and then he would post it…..

Glenn M07 Sep 2009 2:06 p.m. PST

I actually sent it in to Khurasan, he liked it, but yeah, pretty sure he's got other plans. Though he's welcome to use the pics if he'd like to.

khurasanminiatures07 Sep 2009 2:47 p.m. PST

Not only do you have the minis back, you have enough to actually send them out to customers, and we still get no pics on the website?

They are not for sale on the site yet. I just sent a sample model to a few customers on a lark, I am not shipping them yet. Soon though, in fact VERY soon. First release will be the Karks and all three variants of the Man of War heavy anti-grav platform.

Maybe you should show it to Mark, and then he would post it…..

Maybe, but not before I wanted him to! Mark would never step on a manufacturer's release schedule. That's why we trust him enough to send him advance copies. Of course, Glenn did not know that I didn't want the models revealed before they were ready -- that was my fault. And props to him for taking the pics down once he heard.

Thanks Jon.

Well, I might step on your toes, but I like freebies. And if pulling that pic means I increase my future potential for freebies, than dagnabbit the rest of you can wait!!!!!!

Ok, all sarcasm aside, I'd never do anything to potentially harm a small companies business unless they bring it on themselves. Such as not fixing an error in a timely manner, or just not sending me my order after I payed for it, which has happened.

Though I personally disagree with Jon's opinion in this little matter, I would not ignore his request.
