Hey I posted this in the market place too.I'm looking to get some of the Foundry SYW cav but they won't answer my emails and all I have is a cell phone with no international plan so can't call them.
Are there any US distributors who can get the "special order" stuff?
Thanks Pete

can't you do via the website like many others do?

fitterpete04 Sep 2009 6:39 p.m. PST

Ah sorry, I put it in the title but not the post.I want the French SYW, which is not on the website but you can get it if you ask for it by phone or, if you can get them to answer, by email. So it's not available thru the shopping cart. There are a lot of things they have you can only get this way.Kind of a strange business practice I think.

Perhaps send another email to Foundry marked for the attention of Bernard as he seems to be a helpful person.

I have a list of the codes if you message me.

oh right , funny way to sell things..english companies do have some very odd ways of doing things..

Thanks I already have the codes. Got them off someones blog thru a search here on TMP.I talked to one US distributer this morning and he says foundry won't let them order the things not on the site.Guess I'm SOL.

Go to Foundry's website.
The telephone number is there – toll free.
Call.
Ask for Bernard.
I've done this a couple times in the past.
It has worked for me.
Bon chance,
Bill

Hey
It's not a 800 number you still have to have a international plan to call out.

Bernard seems to have been very busy these past few days – probably the effects of "20% off"… He is back to answering e-mails however, so I'd just give it another try.

As per some advice I got, I have placed a order for one blister and in the comments box I asked to have some of the French codes added to my order.Hope this works guess I'll find out Monday.

Well I guess it worked. At least my card has been charged for it.You would think a company as big as Foundry would give order confirmations or shipping info.
The SYW British I ordered during the 20% off sale got here today with no notice or anything .You order then the just show up at some point in the future.
Foundry needs to embrace the current century.

I had a series of orders earlier this year, for which I received individual shipping notices. The same happened this time (during the 20% off sale), albeit with a couple of days' delay – maybe someone's off sick in Nottingham? (Here in Europe we are still allowed to fall ill occasionally, and even get seen by a doctor in most cases).

fitterpete15 Sep 2009 2:56 p.m. PST

Well neither one of my orders has had a shipping notice. So congrats to you for getting one.The second order was done by card, not paypal, so I did get a notice of transaction.
Using this to reply to Foundry I asked if the French had been added to my order and got a response from Bernard that they had.Still no shipping notice but I'm sure they will show up sometime.
The only problem with doing it this way is the original order is only 1 blister so you get charged $17 USD shipping even though it is a $325 USD order and should be free shipping.
But that's what I get for wanting a off the wall set of figures I guess.
