I am getting some of the 1:600 Israelis to make up some Cold War Commander forces for the '73 war, but wil options (like Merkavas) to allow morphing the army to the early 80s as well. I am looking for suggestions for good paint color(s) for Israeli armor in the '73 time frame. I've a few references and it seems to be a greyish/sand color. Any suggestions? Thanks Jake |

Both Polly Scale and Model Master Acryl make Israeli Armor Sand. Damon. |

Sand colored all the way. Very few markings. Google is your friend
just add the word "image" to your search. |

It is a very variable 'sand grey' colour so mine range from desert yellow to a sort of sandy green. Many of the more modern vehicles actually look grey. Jazzy chevron tac markings and platoon stripes on gun barrels. Main thing is to make them a different colour to the Egyptians! (who are generally a very, very light sand sometimes with green blotches). |

I know what the color should look like. I'll try and find the Model Master or Polly Scale paints. I appreciate the help folks. |
