I am getting some of the 1:600 Israelis to make up some Cold War Commander forces for the '73 war, but wil options (like Merkavas) to allow morphing the army to the early 80s as well.

I am looking for suggestions for good paint color(s) for Israeli armor in the '73 time frame. I've a few references and it seems to be a greyish/sand color.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Jake

Both Polly Scale and Model Master Acryl make Israeli Armor Sand.

Damon.

Sand colored all the way. Very few markings. Google is your friend…just add the word "image" to your search.

It is a very variable 'sand grey' colour so mine range from desert yellow to a sort of sandy green. Many of the more modern vehicles actually look grey. Jazzy chevron tac markings and platoon stripes on gun barrels.

Main thing is to make them a different colour to the Egyptians! (who are generally a very, very light sand sometimes with green blotches).

I know what the color should look like. I'll try and find the Model Master or Polly Scale paints.

I appreciate the help folks.
