Steve Dake (with photo assist from Don Nelson) sent us a few pics of some big battles in progress with hundreds of hard plastic figures.

Check them out here:

(Quick note – the Ancient German Warband set – 30 figures for $19.95) is out now – but the Ancient German Cavalry (12 horses and riders for $19.95) is not yet available – about 2 weeks!

Thanks all!

Tony

Superb! I love the chariot that is careening out of control. This is a nice thing about plastics- the kit bashing. In those photos I see lots of figures that look as though they have been modified, like the guy pulling himself onto the horse behind the rider…and is that a knife/sword between his teeth? I can see my group constantly upping the ante for who can go furthest with the poses of these figs.

Thanks for posting the pics.

Thanks Dean – that's a big part of what I LOVE about the plastics.

If you look at some of these pics – Steve has taken some of the Ancient German Warband figures (the foot) and incorporated them into the Ancient German Cavalry sets to have guys jumping off the backs of horses into combat. In the close ups there's even a guy holding a SPEAR in his teeth. It's just a load of fun.

One of the things I was always interested in as a side-goal of Wargames Factory was having a lot of conversion going on. The plastics really make this easy…and it's fun.

Spectaculor! If (i.e when ;) ) Numidian cavalry come out, I think I will lose all self-control and start a 28mm ancients project.

@JET, I wish you would lose all self control, plunge into 28 mm
so you could sell me all your beautiful impetus 6/10mm stuff ;]

I like the look of those round bases. Is there a set of rules that use basing like that, or is it for display?
