Hi Guys

This will be a thread for me to progressively show off my 15mm AB Peninsula British army, all comments good or bad welcome.
This is my latest unit to be finished, I had this one half finished for the last couple of months while I was doing a Bavarian project, ran out of under coat for the Bavarians so while I wait for pay day I decided to finish this unit.

Excellent,They have given me the urge to get on and get my stuff done.
I especially like the Dragoons and the Scots.

Very nice indeed. :)

Gunner Dunbar28 Aug 2009 3:39 a.m. PST

Thanks guys, they a based for DBN, only because I used to play DBM, I haven't war gamed in about 12 years and really am only making the army for the fun of it, maybe one day I will find an opponent in my area and will have to re base them.

Very well done stuff there! Like the Rifles especially.

I'm looking to do some bases for Impetus ancients soon and looking for inspiration for more diorama like bases.

Please post more when you get chance. Or have you thought of starting a blog?

10-out-of-10 for the guys skirmishing in the wheatfield.

Robert le Diable30 Aug 2009 7:58 a.m. PST

Excellent painting; liked the variety of headgear and poses in Dragoons. The light-blue squares of the Gordon's tartan is rather lighter than we usually see, but this is in accord with a contemporary Black Watch (42nd) kilt I've seen (Gordon tartan just the 42 "Government Sett" with yellow overstripe). Get those Ensigns on parade!

Mal Wright Fezian30 Aug 2009 4:55 p.m. PST

Quite stunning stuff. The bases are excellent too.

Gunner Dunbar26 Aug 2010 1:42 a.m. PST

Supercilius Maximus26 Aug 2010 3:12 a.m. PST

Another request for how you did the bases for the Rifles (I've had those bookmarked for ages now, they are so impressive).

Gunner Dunbar26 Aug 2010 5:44 p.m. PST

Hi Super, the wheat is from an old door mat that fell apart, I glued the figures to the base, glued some dirt, then the wheat, and some grass for a bit of colour, pretty easy really.

looks great, doesn't looks too crauded in my view.

Marc the plastics fan24 Sep 2010 5:56 a.m. PST

They look, as all well painted ABs always do, very nice.

You must be very pleased with them – good luck on doing an army to that standard.

Maxshadow24 Sep 2010 6:40 p.m. PST

Boy they are nice bases!
Thye look like they would be a good size for the Lasalle rules if you ever want to start playing again.
Max

Supercilius Maximus24 Sep 2010 7:40 p.m. PST

The bases are in no way too crowded; in fact, they are probably quite accurate in terms of depicting how close together men stood (especially the natural "bunching" when under fire).

However, being the Guards, I suspect the RSM will be having words about all that diversity of legwear……

trailape25 Sep 2010 3:29 a.m. PST

Hi Dan
They look great!

seneffe25 Sep 2010 5:15 p.m. PST

Beautiful. Keep posting pictures of new additions.
Your cavalry BTW though, are the 3rd Dragoon Guards. The 3rd Dragoons were a blue faced, black horse outfit- but they also of course served in the Peninsula.

Gunner Dunbar26 Sep 2010 2:39 a.m. PST

Thanks Seneffe, right you are.

Gunfreak26 Sep 2010 3:53 a.m. PST
