Anybody remember Star Frontiers?

Next to Traveller, it's one of my favorite classic sci-fi RPG settings and I would love to game it in 15mm but what would I use for the various races?

Humans are easy and the Vrusk might be done using GZG's Ixx but what about Dralasites and Yazarians or the Sathar enemies? I know that TSR released 25mm figs for them for RPG use, but it would be cool to see some of these classic races come back in "not" status?

I seem to recall there was a port for the Alternity game many moons ago. I'd love to see the Alternity races as well, especially the T'sa and Seshayan. All of these could be really cool. Hopefully something cool turns up.

Alternity did have some really cool races, though I cannot claim any real familiarity with them. These classic games are really where the sculptors should be looking for their ideas.

Sure they may not be as "alien" as some others that myself and others have been looking for but they have a classic charm that is very attractive.

There was a Star Frontiers port for Alternity. It was in Dragon magazine.

d20 Modern had a supplement called d20 Future that ported Star Frontiers AND Alternity's aliens into d20.

I just picked up the old boxed set. We had alot of fun playing Star Frontiers in GW1. Does anyone know wich book the newer races are in? Like the Oscar/Osacar….sp? I played one and had alot of fun with it.

Oh, thanks for that link too.

Yes, it is starfrontiersman.com – it's an online magazine devoted to Star Frontiers – 11 issues to date

It has all the rulebooks in pdf, all the modules, and player aids/sheets.

As for suggestions for 15mm figures, you can make your own dralasites with Play-Doh and 15mm bits. As for the Sathar, I seemed to recall a manufacturer that made worm-like aliens, hopefully, someone more knowledgeable on TMP might be able to answer that. I could also be thinking of a different scale.

Hope this info helps. I really love SF, easy and clean game to play.

15mm Sathar or look alikes would be pretty fantastic.

OMG, I was such a geek back when this came out!!! I was a DM back in the day when it came out but all my players wanted to play D&D, not SF. I have been thinking of running a game using maptools from rptool.net. But I have no time to set it up. I could how ever play if some one did it (nug nug wink wink). But if you have never seen or heard of maptools please check it out.

Maptools creates a web based map ware player log in and can play any RPG as if they were in some ones house. I have also used it to play minis war games.
