I just wanted to put in a good word for this line of minis. I ordered a couple packs from each of the current catagories – Woodland, Orcs and Undead over the summer and have been slowly painting them up into a couple of HOTT armies. The figs are individually based and have amazing detail for this scale. I will try and post some painted examples and a more complete review soon. I would also add that the service from Microworld is superb. My orders usually arrived withing 3 business days from the other side of the country. JMW |

I was looking at their site just last night, trying to decide if I liked their undead. Definitely do please put up some of your painted results
I'd really like more 6mm fantasy forces to play with. |

I've got an army of the undead which I'm gradually painting; I'll post pics too as soon as I'm done. |

I've only got one pack of their orcs so far, but I'm planning to buy a load more orcs and undead (waiting to see pics of the woodland army, as they don't fit into my current plans but I may be tempted once I see them). Truly excellent figures, the best 6mm fantasy on the market in my opinion. |

There's a few pics of some of the woodland stuff near the bottom of this page: link |

Thanks Lovejoy! They're fantastic
how I wish there was a whole army of the wood elves, and not just the archers and command! Don't get me wrong, the centaurs are great too, I just really want a wood elf army and these archers knock the socks off Irregular's. |

Cheers Parmenion – I sculpted them! :) I know what you mean about the elves – it would be nice to do some more; I've got another army to do for MicroWorld Games (Beastmen), so if I get time, I might try and slip an elf or two in as well

Heh, it's just as well I said nice things about them isn't it
Seriously though, as I said to the chap at Microworld (I'm afraid I don't recall his name) I'm so impressed by these figures that if I could, I'd buy my 6mm fantasy exclusively from them. The trouble is my game of choice is Mighty Armies, which has quite prescriptive army lists. I'm already trying to find ways round that – for example, using centaur archers instead of elf riders with bows, using gnolls instead of elf spearmen – and as you mention beastmen they may well make the basis of a Sorceror's Legion army – but some things just don't have a suitable alternative. For one thing, if you have any sway with the owner of Microworld, please mention orc or goblin archers! |
