My vacation just started and I took opportunity to post a somewhat different AAR of a 'Check Your Six' game that I held couple of weeks ago. Hope you find it interesting. I plan to post a bit more traditional post about the game and the ruleset in a couple of days.

Thanks, and yes, those are 1/600 planes from Tumbling Dice.

That was really well written. I've run the same scenario a couple of times also. Tough fight for the RAF.

The British did much better in your game than real life.

The first two VC of the war were awarded for this mission.

Glad you liked it, Oddball. You are absolutely right, things could have ended in complete disaster for RAF even in that game, all Battles except the leader were hit at least one time, but fortunately could brush it off. But on the other hand, both Battles that went down, did it immidiately because of critical damage.

As for the AAR, I wanted to write something like that for a long time and this seemed like a perfect occasion. And yes, I am of course familiar with the mission that was used as source for this scenario, but somehow I couldn't bring myself using the names of real crews. Call me silly, but I thought that would be… well, just not right.
