Hello, I am now to Naval Wargames, and bought the Mongoose WWII Rules "Victory at sea". Now I wanted to use the Navwar miniatures, because they seem to be a cheap start for a naval newbie :)

I have seen that they produce "Startersets" for 10 british pounds. Are they worth the money? Who can say what is inside the starter packs? Are the ships that come inside the packs random?

The starters contain 6 Capital Ships, 4 Cruisers & 8 Destroyers. They are not specified as to which exact models you get for each type, but they are cheaper than buying the same number of specific models.

If you want to match the VaS scenarios Navwar has a download on its website that tells you which packs you need for each scenario.
