The Plastic Pelisse is a site set up to illustrate comparisons between metal and plastic ranges on similar topics. It features 1/72 scale plastic soldiers, and metal figures in the 20mm-25mm range.

For practical reasons, it is being built as a blog, but without the real narrative component of a good blog.

I have now reached a small milestone: 100 posts. This seems like a good point to ask for feedback. The post linked below is actually that request for feedback, and includes several questions which I would like to explore.

I am starting this thread mainly to provide a place for any current readers to comment on the blog, but also to invite those of you who haven't visited to take a look, and see what you think.

I appreciate any and all comments.

Pretty neat--the colonials section also lets you sort of compare plastic ranges together--it might be nice to have one shot of figs from several plastic and metal ranges palced next to each other. Thanks.

I've looked at your blog from time to time. It is invaluable to anyone creating mixed plastic-metal armies.

I would like to see Cavalry & artillery developed at the same pace as the infantry. Throwing in the odd artillery caisson or ambulance is also good for people looking for bits to complete their armies.

Congratulations on your 100th posting and thank you for the work put into comparing metal/plastic miniatures in the traditional wargaming size.

Wish your blog was around a couple of years ago when I was contemplating 20mm.

Would not change anything in your approach.

I will try and post on the blog as well, but some general comments:

It would be really helpful if it was clearly indicated what ranges are still available and from whom (ie Wodenfield – are these still around?)

Direct side by side and horse swaps are always useful – poor old Stokes recently posted a lovely comparison photo, but at an overhead angle and so it was not possible to directly compare any of the figures. Shame really

A great site and useful reference. Thanks

Thank you everyone for the positive comments and helpful suggestions. I will try to address all the suggestions in future posts.

For Marc: I do try to post on range availability, contact information, and costs whenever I first post about a range, but I will try to make the information more easily found.
