Hi I was wondering if any on knows a manufacturer who makes lead/pewter hex bases approx 1.5". The reason is that I am using the Forge world bases for CY6 but I am adding a rod that is about 8" tall so I can slide the planes up and down to give a good visual of the height. The Forge world bases are great, but light, so I wanted to add the metal hex bases to the bottom of the stand to give it weight! Thanks William |

Iron wind battletech hex bases are what you want. |

I've bought a fair number of Iron Winds metal bases for use with A/C and they work great. A/C scale from 1/300 to 1/144. I actually glue two of the bases together (bottom to bottom) to make a thicker and heavier base). Dan |

If the Forge World bases are like the generic hexbases made of plastic then Brigade Models sells a molded weight that fits in them. link Ken |

unless you really need the hex shape, you can simply go to the hardware store and get a big washer to glue underneath – that'll cost you all of 25-30 cents each. Brian |

Hi Dan that is what I might do to make the base even heavier, I will have to order some and check. Ken no they are not like the flying bases, these are much nicer with two little wheels that indicate speed and altitude. Brian I know but it just wont look as nice!!! I am one of those that if it does not look nice why bother. Thanks all William |
