Hi,

So very sorry to hear of your loss. As a father myself I can hardly imagine the pain your family is going through at this time.

All the best and good luck with the shed.

abdul666lw20 Aug 2009 4:27 a.m. PST

Very sorry -as a father who *almost* lost his only daughter I believe I can imagine your horrible grief, yet I'm certainly far below the truth.

jpattern220 Aug 2009 5:23 a.m. PST

Very sorry for your loss, Marcus. We almost named our daughter Fiona; it's one of my wife's favorite names. I'm heart-broken for you.

My wife and I have always believed it would be the worst thing to happen happen to us to lose a child. You have my heartfelt condolences. I hope that your hobby can provide some brief respite for you.

docdennis196820 Aug 2009 7:03 a.m. PST

My goodness!! I don't know you at all, but this is as about as bad as it gets for anyone! Words are useless, and time will soften but never erase! I can't help, but I sure care about you!

Bottom Dollar20 Aug 2009 7:59 a.m. PST

Very sad. Though not a father, I've got nieces and nephews her age. I feel your loss man.

This is so sad to hear. I don't know you, but I hope you are able to struggle through this and don't blame yourself. Be strong for your other kids and carry on as best you can.

Requiescat in pace

Defiant20 Aug 2009 3:14 p.m. PST

Mate, you are a very strong person, I would be a blithering mess right now. I do not think I would have your strength. It is obvious you would be spending a great deal of time with your family of late and I am glad to see you are devoting your quiet time to your hobby.

Keep going mate, the room looks awesome, you have inspired me to one day dedicate a room like that to gaming. I am sure you are going to put in book shelves, a study desk and painting table in the end also ?

I'm very sorry for your loss. I lost my brother, sister and mother all in quick succession two years ago, but can only imagine what losing a child is like, (I have four girls myself). I'm certain your little one is in the loving embrace of Heavenly Father. God Bless and stay the course.
FWIW your project looks to be progressing well.

ColonelToffeeApple20 Aug 2009 4:40 p.m. PST

I am so sorry to hear of your tragic loss. My sincerest thought and prayers are with you and yours.

Rob UK20 Aug 2009 4:52 p.m. PST

My condolances on your loss. No words will ease your pain but hopefully the support shown here will help in some small way.

I can only add my condolences to those already stated in this thread. Words cannot express the sorrow you must feel, but your positive attitude is an absolute inspiration.

Cyrano196620 Aug 2009 7:15 p.m. PST

Wow…I might have just torn down the shed with a sledgehammer in a fit of useless rage.

Or maybe just sat in the midst of it and wept in the dark.

My prayers go with you.

Jim

Theword21 Aug 2009 2:26 a.m. PST

Thanks all.. the Blog's intended as a gaming resource, however how could I not say something on there? All your thoughts and best wishes are appreciated.

We've had a huge shock and obviously we are adjusting..trying to find our way etc… however we have a strong love that's seeing us through.

Life has to go on and me trying to finish this project is all part of that.

Cheers,

TW.

My best wishes for you and your family Mate.

Swampking21 Aug 2009 10:23 a.m. PST

Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time [and prayers as well]. I lost my sister last year in January and I don't think my parents have gotten over it yet but as you've stated very wisely 'life has to go on' but it does not make the loss any easier.

On a brighter note – great paint job on the figures!

I feel your pain. Losing a loved one is the toughest thing. You do rebound but it takes some time to heal. Take it one day at a time. Oddly, when I went through it I could not paint for months but ultimately was able to get back too it. My thoughts will be with you in this tough time.

huevans21 Aug 2009 2:36 p.m. PST

My deepest sympathies for your immense loss. I hope that working on your project and your blog can give you some joy in what must be a desperate time.
