Are there any online sources which have a rough idea of the OOB for both sides early in the war? I know information is sketchy from the time but i wish to build two armies that are as close to accurate as can be. cheers |

I think I have a generic scenario with both OOBs. Same thing for Auldearn…

Not sure on line but plenty in print for Edgehill. |

Seriously, the oob is easily available in several books. |

Start here. There's a lot published but not a huge amount of reputable information online. link |

For books see Brigadier Peter Young's 'Edgehill' – the old classic! Stuart Reid has a good summary in 'All the King's Armies' Scott, Turton & von Arnim's 'Edgehill the battle reinterpreted' is a good modern study and very detailed on orbats. (Allowing for the odd annoying typo and missing the fourth Royalist dragoon regiment). |
