I'm in need of getting some 15mm Imperial Roman(Early Imperial) figures but i need to know what shops in the US that carries them.

What i'm looking for is the Roman Cavalry Command figures.

I tried Minifigs USA but it looks like they don't have that much in Ancients.

So any help would be grateful.

Have you contacted Tom Dye of Minifigs USA? My understanding is that they will special order from the UK what they don't carry here (although I have heard from a fellow club member that they are not enthused about doing so). They hold the license for US sales.

P.S. I picked mine up on ebay and could use more myself but am not currently in a position to buy so have not made the inquiry.

I expect Tom will be along shortly to give you his link. Definitely contact them directly, google Tom Dye and GFI if you don't already have the link.

Don't know where it came from that we are not enthused about ordering from the UK- we always have when we cannot produce good figures. For the past 3-4 months, Neil has been a one-man show in the UK and has been posted here, several times. Until he can secure more help (seems it's more profitable to remain on the dole than take a minimum wage job in the UK). Liz should be shortly returning from maternity leave. Until that happens, it's all Neil can do to keep up with orders. We have been trying for those things we do make here, from good molds.

The range in question was not deemed as having sufficient demand to invest in to the remolding of the range. We have always tried to invest into ranges that will return the investment within a reasonable amount of time. (ie: based upon communicated and researched demands). The Romans in 15mm remain low priority on the list of ranges at this time.

We did bring back the Greeks and Persians (Super Detail Range) and based upon sales, confirmed that demand for the older Ancient ranges was not there. Despite how much you may like that range, you would be asking a company to spend a considerable amount of money just to sell you a few packs. Now if we suddenly got innudated with requests from all over the country for them, you can be sure they would receive more attention! 8>) We will be happy to take your order and forwarded it to the UK for you. No problem!

Until the UK operation can secure some manpower, such orders will just fall in their long cue for filling. We would still send over your order, but please be aware fullfillment may be slower than normal, and as to why.

Does that really equate to being "unentheused" ? I feel it's an attempt to be truthful to our customers. Geez, looks like you just can't win! />(

So Tom in your opinion what other Roman Cavalry Command can i use with the Minifigs figures that i have now?

From what information i have there's a few which are-

Corvus Belli

Old Glory

Xyston

My first pick might be Old Glory since they're close to Minifigs, but i just don't know.

My Early Imperial Roman Army i have is mainly Corvus Belli with some Minifigs as well.

I would recommend Old Glory. They seem the most compatable and should be pretty easy to acquire, too.

I nominate Tom Dye for being the most upstanding gentleman merchant in the hobby – which is a pretty high honor because there are a fine lot of them out there. Just like him to happily point a customer to a competitor to help him meet his needs and desires. And, no, I have no affiliation with the man except as a customer, though I had the privilege of meeting him once behind a table at a Con in San Jose, I think it was.
