I bought Malifaux at Gen Con and gave it a quick read on the 5 hour drive home. It looks like it should be fun with quite a bit of strategy. THe miniatures are either really nice or really disturbing. Either way they hacve quite a bit of character. My only gripe with the minis are that some of them are really hard to pin due to very small joints. Anybody else pick it up? What do you think of it? Chuck |

We got some of the minis. My husband really liked them. A little strange for my tastes. I suspect I'll be doing the assembly when he decides to get them out. |

I have some of the minis. A lot of character, just started to paint them up. Waiting to hear more about the rules. |

I got the game via mail order "in honor" of Gen Con since I did not go. Once the dust settles and things start shipping, I will get my package |

Is the name an in-joke? "Bad Fake"? Really? |

I've been buying the minis since the beginning. I did pick-up the rulebook at Gencon as well. |

It is a nice skirmish game with easy to pick up rules (that can go more complex if you so choose). The world seems interesting and the minis have a great deal of character to them. |

Ive been using Perdita in LOTOW for like 4 months now, long before I knew Malifaux was coming. I wasnt interested until I saw the book. Then I read it and learned the game mechanics, and was wowed, so I bought it. Got my first game in on Friday, and now I cant wait to play it again. Individually, all of the genres represented dont do much for me – but put together, it has grabbed me in ways indescribable, and I am very impressed. Besides, the forum support from the Heads of State over at malifaux.com is VERY impressive. I really recommend giving it a shot, even if just for the fluff. It's very neat. |

Watched the Gen-Con video and bought it from the Warstore the same night. Just waiting on it to come in. Love the way the minis look and my lady is looking to play Neverborn

Got my copy a few days back from Martyn at Invasion Games. Very nice book, almost Privateer in quality and style. Uses decks of cards (normal playing cards can be used, but Wyrd do some nice thematic sets too) rather than dice. It appears quite combo heavy; it reminds me a bit of Hell Dorado. Which is good. |

Just received my book tonight. I'm already hooked. |

Get some size 70 pin vise drill bits from Widget, they are very cheap and strong. The game looks fascinating. Very cool miniatures as well. Kind of reminds me of warmachine before it got out of control. I found some figs I really like too
The boxed sets are well matched, too. |

Anyone else buy malifaux. No one's said much about it here and everyone is low or out of mini stock and Wyrds website is down. Now is this a good thing-not enough stuff to meet the demand OR is it a bad thing? |

Ya know Rog
I almost never, ever spend more than about $3-4 for a man-sized mini, and these figs are double that. However, I do like many of them, and after watching a video of the game, I'm quite interested. I would splurge and get into this, if anyone at the local game store was willing to give it a go. But as I only recently moved here, and haven't had much of a chance to hang out at my one local store (only been there twice in 5 months)
doubt it's going to happen. Of course, if the store carried this line, that might help. Otherwise, most of my gaming now that I've moved is solo, and card games like this one just don't work solo. |
