Gorgeous! Your basing compliments the fine paint work.

Good painting, I haven't got any Victrus even though 15mm Napoleonics are my period as I always thought they looked a bit thin. Are they any good to paint as the figures look fine really?

christot21 Aug 2009 12:19 p.m. PST

They are great to paint, overall good detail, and lovely little faces, the many, many people who are really good painters (I'm not) can do an amazing job with them, but for an average painter like me the good detail means with a bit of work even I can get a decent result. ….they aren't 15's though (I could never paint 15's these days)? They are tall! 28mm heel to eye, the figures with plumes are actually 44mm tall to the tip of the plume

Yikes sorry I must have been thinking of another company then. Great figures though.

The only 15s with remotely comparable detail are AB… you must have been thinking of them…

Christot,
Very good with the Victrix, there is alot of detail in the figures,
Regards,
PS, you`ve got to do some AB ;)

NOOO!…I'd love to, IF I didn't already have a billion 25mm..I'm too old to start again!

bgbboogie24 Aug 2009 1:48 a.m. PST

VERY good i'm thinking of expanding the 28mm we use, we do grand skirmish with 210 men per btln.

A word of warning…..The Victrix muskets are pretty fragile, more so than the Perry plastics which seem a little more "bendy" while the Victrix ones are more brittle. I wouldn't fancy single figure basing with Victrix without expecting a few breakages.
