Although we've had several reviews and photo spreads of the new set here at TMP, here's the Plastic Soldier Review's, well, review: link 47 out of 50 but with some valid complaints or issues pointed out. |

Having built and painted a set, I agree with their comments, but it is easy to concentrate on the negative, and so overlook the massively positive comments. I think Zvezda are always at risk as they give so much in their sets, and so it must be easy to get one or two minor details wrong sometimes. Well worth the set in my mind |

The amount of contents is surely impressive, though! |

One of my points exactly. This is a set that, for around £9.00 GBP provides four guns, a great selection of crew with alternate poses, a limber and a caisson, and two galloper gun limbers. Not bad going – most metal ranges would struggle to provide the limber |

I intend getting three boxes, but I'm looking forward to the Swedish artillery the most (whenever that comes up). |

Pity they didn't do bombardier heads to go with the howitzer! This would have made the set properly Russian. The mounted officer also would have been great to use as a General. Still, excellent value for money. - Now for the Swedish counterparts, and then some more cavalry for either side – including a General figure each? |

Some Generals would be great – I must admit that I had got myself all excited by the box art in thinking that a General was included. Oh well. I di dnot know about the bombardier hats – would the new Zvezda Prussian grenadier mitres work, or too tall? Mind you, I just got some Garrison metal mounted generals and officers from their 7YW range and these fit (size wise) with my Zvezda's quite well, so they will be my first wave, And that reminds me, I need to post a thank you. |

would the new Zvezda Prussian grenadier mitres work, or too tall? No, Marc, it's a quite small cap and a different shape. link |
