Hi All

I have recently got into Wargaming the Boer War and Building a couple of Armies. I have been using 15mm Minifigs. But seen the Tin Soldier Range of 15mm Boers. Has anyone seen or used these figures? Can you tell me what they are like and if they will fit into the Minifigs Size.

Cheers
Steve

I have some 15mm Tin Soldier Samurai and they are definitely large and hefty. Fun to paint, but so large that I have found no similary size figures to go with them. They dwarf Minifigs.

There is a great variation btween styles among the various Tin Soldier ranges. The Samurai, like the Greek and Hellenistic subjects, are large and cartoonish.

The only TS Boers I have are the horseholders and horses. The horseholders are a very similar size to the older Minifigs prone Boers that I have, or to Minifigs Super-detail range ACW. The horses would mix with older Minifigs horses, but not so much those from after the company went to the oddly-proportioned Goldolphin Barbs for mounts. (Like this, but with a bigger butt…)

I find the 15mm Irregular Boers are a bit bulky, so I decided to go with Tin Soldiers. The match well with Minifigs.
