so i saw district 9 yesterday and i loved it! and i was really hoping that there was some novel or series of books that inspired it so i could pick 'em up and have a read through them so i could figure out how to play the Prawns better as an army in some wargames. do any of you know f D9 was based off of a book? |

Most sci-fi and action movies (even crapola like Transformers and GI Joe) have novelizations(aka 'adaptations') based on the screenplay, but unfortunately they didn't bother with D9. |

D9 ended up being an indie film based on discarded props and CGI intended for, but failed Halo movie. It lucked out that it was probably far better than the original idea. |

One of the best "pure" scifi movies in a very long time. |
