Yesterday Nic from Eureka miniatures said me that only 3 people are need to do the Prussian Guard Grenadiers, so the goal is near.
If there is someone interessed, can please subsribe to the Eureka 100 Club for the Prussian Guard.

Which regiment IR15 or IR6?

I've been signed up for ages. Hope this project finally comes to fruition.

The Regiment is IR 15.
These are:
SYW Prussian Guard grenadiers advancing
SYW Prussian Guard grenadiers (hat company) advancing.

I had heard that the original sponsor of this 100 Club request had pulled the plug on his idea.

Only IR6 was called Grenadier Guard…IR15 was the Guard Regiment, of which the third battalion wore mitres instead of tricorns, hence the confusion…

So, the plan is for IR15-III, correct?

andygamer13 Aug 2009 4:13 p.m. PST

Further to Ioannis's comment…

15/I = 1st Bataillon-Leibgarde [tricornes; heavy use of lace loops on coat front]
15/II & /III = Regiment Garde [II in tricornes; III all except officers in grenadier mitres; with flags]
IR6 = Grenadier-Garde [only one btn strong; all except officers in grenadier mitres; with flags as usual for Infantry Regiments]

clapezza314 Aug 2009 3:11 a.m. PST

I though 15/I or 15/II in campaign dress and 15/III.

The 15/I in campaign removed the loops, only reteined the right shoulder aigulette.
So the only difference is the lapel(15/I had not, 15/II had) and it is easy convert each with the other.

So Eureka is trying to get people on-board for making all of the IR15 troops.

The Leibgarde btn in combat uniform; and the Regiment Garde of 15/II all in tricornes, and 15/III all in mitres except its officers? That makes sense as the Regt Garde has the same uniforms for both battalions and the sculptor just has to make a hat or head swap to get the same figures covering tricorne and mitre figures from both battalions.

Mille grazie, clapezza3, for pointing this out.

Musketier19 Aug 2009 1:47 a.m. PST

Well I'm in, whatever the uniform! Some people though might prefer the option of I/15 in its distinctive full dress.
C'mon, let's have a – totally subjective – poll here about who wants what. To muddle things from the start, I'd like both options myself, but as stated will buy whatever comes out.
