Very nice!

One of my favorite topics as the Tigers are the subject of my latest book, which will come out in October from LSU Press.

Great job – wish my Tigers were so nice!

Probably the most painted type of mini from the Confederacy, but the Tigers have that compelling attraction

Very nice job, Rob. Being a Tiger for about 25 years now, it's good to see such good work when portraying our uniform. TIG

Thanks all, for your comments. Glad I didn't opt for the brown version of the uniform or I would have clearly been in trouble with so many genuine experts on here!

Nice! Very Nice! And very useful as I'm just about to paint up a unit of the very same – I feel all warm, gooey and inspired!

When painting your Tigers, don't forget the trefoil on the front of the jacket and the rank stripes go on the cuff.

I should not worry too much about getting in trouble with
the 'experts' on here. There is evidence that they wore both
at some stage in their short service…….I have been studying the A.C.W. for years and that is the conclusion I
have reached. It is not in stone that EVERY member of the
Tigers wore blue jackets although a lot did. This debate
about the Tigers goes on and on……

Regards

Oh by the way there is a contempory watercolour showing a Tiger in a brown tunic. This is one bit of infomation I
found to show that at least some Tigers wore brown at some
stage,it could have been a butternut tunic that replaced
a worn out blue tunic as these tunics would not have lasted
long…………

Nice figure by the way……..
