I'm painting some OG 15mm Hessian jaegers. The advancing figures clearly have shoulder cords on their left shoulder.
In the figure they have fallen on the back. I can't find these in any of the sources I have. Are these a sign of rank
or elite status? Are they white?

Thanks for any help.

Hesse-Kassel jaegers had an aiguillette or shoulder cord in yellow or gold on the right (not the left) shoulder – all ranks had the aiguillette. Aiguillettes were common in various armies but didn't generally denote elite status, as far as I know.

Thank you for the information--it is on the right shoulder of the figure. Yellow aiguillettes all around it is.
