A while ago I opined that PP would do a "cracking" range of AWI. Now it seems it will come to pass. Oh woe is my bank account!!

Hi RittervonBek,

I just visited the Peter Pig web site. Yes, there is a new range called "Washington's Army" which doesn't have any packs added to it yet.

Would you happen to know more? I'm curious about what the first releases will be.

Martin's also making a new AWI ruleset to go with the figs.

From Martin on the Yahoo Group (all spelling SIC):

"I would hope to launch the rules at Salute 2010.
There will be packs coming out in dribs and drabs.

Packs will be graded in to A,B and C.
A= smart/re-supplied uniform
B=Campaign/battle hardeneded
C= battle worn/messy

There will be infnatry, guns, markers(figures) etc. ACW Scenery can be used.
I have walked around some of the battlefields too.
About 5 packs will be reday for end of August with more to follow."

I'd like to see some nice figures for the Southern campaigns! Very excited about this.

Nice! These are well on their way to being the among the best available in 15mm.

I do NOT need another AWI ruleset, I do NOT need another range of 15mm AWI miniatures, and I especially DO NOT want to see them from Martin at Peter Pig!

The problemis the Piggy stuff is so nice, and the rules are such fun, that I will find myself being sucked in once again… And the eye candy of the first few packs is very hard to resist.

I know, there will be millions of variations in pose and uniform and the rules will be a hoot with a cracking campaign set up -the swines!!!!
…and the muskets will be solid and wargamer friendly.
