I'm sure I've seen a Star Wars BTH variation on my web trawls in the past, A friend seems to think so too. I can't find it now though- did I imagine it or can you point the way? Cheers!

That will be the one. Many thanks Thomas.

May the Lard be with you.

I found it in the Summer 2008 Special, and sice then I have lived long and prospered.

A fun set of rules. You might want to look at the Studio Bergstrom not Star Wars models available in two sizes at link

I almost ran a game of Star Wars Blue Max once, but I could not get enough model kits.
Considering that SW "dogfighting" is nothing but Great Ear dogfighting, use any Great War rules that tickle your fancy.
Call tie fighters Dr-1s, and the X-Wings Sopwith Camels, and you are ready to go! grin

Eclectic Wave05 Aug 2009 9:19 a.m. PST

"Great Ear Dogfighting" -- Best miss spelling I've seen in a long while.

Delthos05 Aug 2009 9:47 a.m. PST

I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice that. I thought maybe John was making some obscure reference there with "Great Ear Dogfighting"!

Sumatran Rat Monkey05 Aug 2009 10:55 a.m. PST

The OFM is clearly referring to the bitter and relentless dogfighting that may or may not have taken place during the latter stages of the War of Jenkin's Ear.

Bagging the Jedi, you will……

Daniel05 Aug 2009 2:41 p.m. PST

Has anyone done an Episode 1-3 variant or is it all later ships?

Ben Ten05 Aug 2009 3:02 p.m. PST

It's Episode 3 that I plan to do. Once I've read the rules and had a game I'll let you know how it goes.

Daniel05 Aug 2009 6:16 p.m. PST

Please do, Ben.

What Uk-sourced miniatures options are there?
I've noticed Wizards Starship Battle & Wizkidz pocket models, but would rather not buy blind.
Bergstrom UK stockist?
Any cardstock options?
Cheers,
Wilf

Daniel07 Aug 2009 11:08 a.m. PST

Bergstrom only sells direct but they truly are excellent. I like the Wizards stuff too and use mostly that as I'd rather not paint if I don't have to.

Ben Ten08 Aug 2009 4:18 p.m. PST

Wilf, I bought all my Wizards Starship battles stuff as individual pieces from Ebay. No unwanted tat that way.

Daniel10 Aug 2009 9:40 a.m. PST

What Ben said…

Wilf1235814 Aug 2009 5:36 a.m. PST

Bagged the Jedi Special plus some WOTC singles (already a BTH afficionado!), now to the star map….
Cheers!

Does the Jed Special cover the Episode 3 fighters?

Top Gun Ace17 Aug 2009 9:05 a.m. PST

So Luke is really Arthur Brown, and the Red Baron was downed by the Millenium Falcon, and not groundfire…..

Interesting.
