Does anyone know of any manufacturers of weapon sprues in 15mm? I know I could sculpt my own, but I'd like it to look like something other than a blob. ; ) |

I have been looking for the same thing and so far, I have found nothing. Perhaps the latest push in 15mm will change this, but I doubt it. I just don't think that converting 15mm figs in 15mm happens as much as it does in 28mm -Eli leadpeople.blogspot.com |

Eli, That's what I figured, I too hope that the recent increase in 15mm products might help with this. |

The biggest difficulty I can see is that at that scale it is near impossible to cut away a weapon without mutilating the surrounding figure or at least the hands. I still think it'd be cool but it'd definitely be for the modellers out there who are good enough with a bit of green stuff. -Eli leadpeople.blogspot.com |

You might consider making them out of styrene card and rod, and epoxy. Looks fairly easy to do with a few tools, and a bit of time. Draw up some designs, and then cut, file, and sand to shape. Use a fine pointed scribing tool for a bit of detail etching. As mentioned, attach with more green stuff, or similar epoxy putty. |

Working on some at the moment. Both modern and sci-fi. Necessary for several of my own master sculpts, but planned on releasing them as sprues. Any preferences like single-type sprues or a mix of weapons and how many weapons on a sprue ? Thanks, Piotr |

I currently have 4 sprues that we use for weapons. No current plans to release them though |

Some long-barreled blaster, or laser rifles would be nice, as well as some throw-away A/T weapons like the panzerfaust (I dislike the basic looking LAW tube launchers, and I can make those myself, if needed from a bit of styrene rod). Laser Pistols, and support blasters on tripods would be good too, as would some anti-air/gravtank weapons. |

I am currently converting some WW2 Germans to sci-fi figs and can honestly say that I cannot imagine how much harder this would be if I was trying to do full-out weapon swaps. As it is, I am just modifying their bolt action rifles into some sort of laser carbine. I tried sculpting magazine feeds in a bullpup fashion, buti t was more trouble than it was worth. -Eli leadpeople.blogspot.com |

He's still waiting for 15mm Sci-Fi to take off in popularity. |

We have discussed this before. Most 15mm manufacturers are reluctant to release 'parts' – ultimately it encourages people to make modifications, and then cast and release their own figures. Being completely honest, we would rather you bought our figures :-) |

We might buy the Sci-Fi ones, when you produce them
.. Just pulling your chain in good clean fun (kind of hard to tell if it came across that way or not though, in just plain text), Geoff. Glad to hear at least you Modern German stuff will be released soon. Sincerely,
