my first ww1 air combat and still my favourite. The counters are approx, 1" square. regards jim |

The counters are one inch square. The basic game is very simple. The advanced game adds more detail but isn't to hard to pick up. Not really a role playing game as you only play a pilot and fly missions. As your number of missions flown and number of kills goes up you get bonuses for your pilot in flying and gunnery. |

As mentioned above, the game is fairly simple. Certainly as good a 2d game as you can find. I like Blue Max better but . . . just my preference. mjc |

Its ok but a bit outdated. The rumored new edition has been just that for many years. I know they have people working on updating plane stats and researching new planes and a few rules but it should not have taken this long. The pilot experience portion of the game is pretty decent. Overall I like it and would gladly play it any time. |
