I note with great interest that Al at Askari has released some Russian artillery and a Limber along with a Krupp 77mm Field Gun in 28mm scale. For those like me interested in Russian campaigns in the Russo Turkish war of 1877-1878 and the 1867-1879 campaign in Turkestan these are great to see. |

I saw the two Russian guns but missed the Krupp when I visited his website the other night--I'll have to go back and look again. I've wondered about the Krupp: how similar was it to German army Krupps and to other export models? Obviously, it wouldn't work for the new model 1896 77mm gun which had a recoil system. However, quite a few countries used 75mm class Krupp guns in the 1875-1900 time frame: Belgium, the Ottoman Empire, Egypt and Greece come to mind, and maybe China, too. Could we use this gun for those countries as well? Grelber |

I think you could – Krupp was a major arms exporter prior to WWI |

Looking at the model I believe it would work very well |
