Hi all,

I thought I would show a few pictures in my blog of some of the British I have painted over the last 10 or so years. I have only put up the Cav and gun pictures so far, I will try to get the Infantry up there as soon as I get enough time. Uploading pictures is a mind numbingly slow process. Well, for me at least it is.

thx guys, I am trying to get my British up completely but it takes time. I am also in the process of painting up some Young Guard Voltiguers so I will post them also once done, I am fairly happy with them.

Because you upload pictures with such huge file sizes. 443 kb is pretty enormous in my opinion. I try to keep photos on my site to 40kb or less and occasionally at most, 80 kb for a file size.

There's a whole science/art to having physically large and detailed pictures but with a small file size. Most people like Aunt so-and-so sending you a 3 megabyte picture straight off her camera have no idea about this. frown

Nontheless, your shots are lovely, and a joy for this non-Napoleonic wargamer to view. I really enjoyed them, especially the views of large numbers of troops. Being in my favourite scale and by a great figure manufacturer was a bonus! grin

Shane,

You certainly have mastered your technique. The heavy dragoons in particular look incredible. I don't think a better job is even possible.

I wish I knew how to reduce the size of the photos. I need to sell my painted 15s, since I am out of work with no prospects.

Anyway, great work, Shane. Great work.

Ack !!!

No Bill, don't sell them, do what I did. I quit my job of almost 10 years service and went to university to study full time. I have only just started but it is the best idea I ever came up with I think. In just one year I will have my masters in project management and hopefully be able to pick and choose whatever job I want.

My advice to you right now, go study….you will not regret it. Now while there is a down turn in the global economy is the best time to study, learn and train.

Shane
