I have found Transports for my 40mm HLBS british troops in my Afghanistan campaign. The 1:40 scale Sea King helicopters are produced by New Ray and come nearly completed (just need to screw a few pieces on --they even provide the small screwdriver!)

I paid $12.50 USD for the air force version. The craft already comes painted, so I will be repainting it a dark Drab Green and adding some Royal Navy markings on it.

I bought 5 of them and even received a 5 dollar first time buyer discount on the order (over 50 bucks). The website I ordered from was Pilotwear and aviation supermart out of Massachussets. The online ordering was swift and secure. I placed the order on Sunday and the next morning it was already out their door a tracking email was provided and the box landed on my Chicagoland area office front desk by thursday (today). So great shipping service. I would highly reccommend them --and they have lots of nice items in a variety of scales in diecast and models of all types of vehicles.

Like I mentioned previously, I will be repainting these for my needs. I placed a 28mm figure by it and it looked good. I know the 40mm figures will look great with them as well.

There is also a prepainted grey US navy version as well. It goes for 17.95.

This is a nice find for anyone wanting some larger transport Helicopters.

That's a great deal! Target stores have a Target-exclusive 1:48 AH-64 for $20 USD that if my friends that played moderns had not moved I would've bought a couple for scenery if nothing else. It doesn't seem to be available through their website. Toys R Us has a selection of 1:43 – 1:60 or so helicopters for $10:

I think the news and police choppers would be great for zombie antics.

There is a 1/55 scale CH-46 helicopter that I hope would work well with my Devil Dog figs and they have a 1/48 Cobra I wonder how will they would go together.

Blackscribe--nice finds!

Irish Marine --- I saw the new ray 1/55 Sea Knight also and actually had an employee at flyingmule.com measure it out while we were on the phone. It seemed to be about similar size or slightly smaller in dimensions than the 1/48 blackhawk by forces of valor. I checked on a aircraft comparison site (you can see 4 craft and specs side by side) and the sea knight should be slightly larger in real life. So I opted not to purchase. When I saw the sea king, the deminisons seemed to work for what I am looking to do.

I still may try to pick up the sea knight as well just for kicks.

I got the sea kings home and compared them to my 1/48 scale pavehawk by forces of valor and with some HLBS us Ranger figures I had and the Sea Kings look great in terms of scale. A bit bigger than the pavehawk (the sea king can carry about 2.5 times more troops) it should prove a nice addition to my forces.

I picked up 2 Apaches and 2 Bell 412's at Toys R Us in Canada. The deal was buy one get one at 50% off. The sale price worked out to be $11.24 USD Canadian. I also picked up two 3 pack of cars in which the pack had a turtleback Humvee for the same price, as well as an SUV for the "bad guys" and a Chevy Camaro.
