There's the Norman book and one on siege weapons, I believe. I believe there are some 20th century books as well. |

Here's a complete list from Osprey's site, these usually fall under the "General History" moniker. Everything is listed here besides the few "Essential History Specials": link Agree with tabasco, I usually find these from Amazon sellers dirt cheap and have built up quite a library. I stick to the compilation books for periods I may probably not end up gaming, while purchasing a lot of more specialized Osprey and other books for periods I do game (or intend to). These are great books, and are worth every penny even if you only have a passing interest in the period they cover. |

I treasure my copy that has all the French Napoleonic cavalry books together. Hussars, Chasseurs, Dragoons/Lancers, Cuirassiers/Carabiniers, and of course la Garde in an over-size format. |

There is also a Roman and an enemies of Rome compliation, German WW2 infnatry, one on ACW flags, Into the Reich which is Campaigns and otehrs, Alex the greatBuffalo Soldiers, . The Essential History range has some onon Napoleonic wars, WW1, ACW and WW1 whcih are great for college courses. Some in the General history are not true compilations of several already published works. Some are expanded works on a subject by taking one or two books and adding a lot of additional data. Others even have all original material in them with no old material. |

May I ask, which are the titles of the two samurai compilation books? |
| tigrifsgt | 04 Aug 2009 12:15 p.m. PST |
Those two are " Warriors of Medieval Japan", composed of Samurai, Ashigaru, Ninja and Warrior Monks. The second is "Strongholds of the Samurai" composed of Japaneses Castles 250-1540 and 1540-1877, Japanese Fortified Temples and Monasteries 710-1602, and Japaneese Castles in Korea 1592-1598. I enjoyed both of them. I also have two other Ospey hard cover books on the subject "Samurai and the Sacred" and "Samurai: The world of the Warrior". All are by Stephen Turnbull. |

"I treasure my copy that has all the French Napoleonic cavalry books together. Hussars, Chasseurs, Dragoons/Lancers, Cuirassiers/Carabiniers, and of course la Garde in an over-size format." So do I; a magnificent volume. My only real quibble is the 'baby blue' facings shown for the post 1809 Carabiniers. |

20 years ago i had all but 2 of their books printed in the men at arms series( from the 60's to the 90's) at that time there were 318 men at arms printed now who knows. |

It was a compilation of five books: Napoleon's Cuirassiers and Carabiniers Napoleon's Dragoons and Lancers Napoleon's Line Chasseurs Napoleon's Hussars Napoleon's Guard Cavalry All by Emir Bukhari and illustrated by Angus McBride. The compilation was called something like Napoleon's Cavalry. |
