Subject: Me-110
Manufacturer: Armaments in Miniature link
Scale: 1/100 (compatible with 15mm)
Medium: Resin
Price: $15 USD

Armaments in Miniature recently released a kit of the Me-110. The resin kit consist of a one piece fuselage/wing/tail assembly and numerous resin detail parts (drop tanks, antenna, tail wheel, MG, gun tray, bombs, air filter housings, counter-weights for the ailerons, rockets, and a 37mm gun pack…everything I didn't use is in the picture ) so there are lots of configurations one can choose from. The kit required minimal clean up (scraped off a couple of seam lines and washed the parts in warm soapy water) and went together well. I finished the pictured model with Vallejo Model Color paints (basalt gray and black gray on top with pale blue gray on the bottom). The national insignia are from I-94 Enterprises ( link GR-119) while the code numbers are leftovers from other sources.

Recommendation: Highly recommended.

One of my favorite airplanes. Good job on the painting by the way. I will have to pick a couple up.

Kevin,
Great paint job as usual. Is the kit a C or F/G model?

The kit is a C/D/E model but provides all kinds of optional ordnance (bombs, 21cm rockets, 37mm Flak gun and pod, 20mm gun and pod, long range drop tanks, etc.) that allows for a "stand off" F/G model.

So cool…

Binhan, thanks. Although the kit is a -C model, I don't think it would be too difficult to convert the kit to make a mini that looked like a D (with the fuselage extended past the horizontal stab), F, or G.

Thanks Kimball. My F9Fs have moved to another table and under some reference material. I'm afraid they'll have to fight their way back to the painting area. How are yours coming along? Kev

Pard -

I'm afraid they are still in the bag.
