Just to remind Peninsula fans that its the bicentennial of the Peninsula Army's victory at Talavera
(Or Guantalavera as my wife persists in calling it!) Kind Regards, Sparker |

Hi Phil, Good to see you celebrating in style – are you planning to mark all the major battles as they come up? I guess Busaco is up next
Quite difficult terrain to represent on the table top, the ridge is like a mountain! Kind Regards, Sparker |

Hi Sparker, Yes I will be hopefully doing all the major battles including the Spanish ones as well .I also played the battle of Almonacid on its 200th anniversary on the August 11th. I will be putting a report of the battle on my blog next week when I have more time. I have 2 more battles to play this year Tamames 18th Oct and Ocana 19th Nov. You are right about Busaco being difficult to represent. think will have to scale it down so my figures wont slide off. Kind Regards Phil |

Hi all just joined, not sure i can ask a question on the Board concerning info on the 23rd Light Dragoons who were at Talavera: i have discovered my G/G/G/G/dad WILLIAM KING was a Trumpet/Major as he & his son also WILLIAM (who was a trumpeter)were both at the Battle of WATERLOO. however not 100% sure he was at Talavera, but i assume he was, forgive my cheek would any one on the site have any knowledge of the 23rd Light/Dragoons History, or give me some advise where to find more info, as there is very little data on the internet on this Reg/t !!!!!!, would be most grateful for any comments, i realise i might be searching in vain, this message is a shot in the dark, hope you can make sense of all this Many Thanks fingers/crossed Redbert |

Hi Redbert, I'd start a new thread to ask your question as that way more people are likely to see it. I'm sure you will find lots of people on these boards who are only too happy to help. Good luck with your search Stephen |

ackostokie1, '' You can find a report of how I changed history, and killed Wellington on my blogspot'' Whilst luring Wellington onto your Blogspot and killing him there certainly sounds like an inspired and cunning ruse de guerre, wasn't it also a little unfair? |
