A first outing for our new Russian force commanded by James. A great victory was had as well! pictures here

The French raced to take 3 of 4 objetcives but failed to destory the Russians who then counter attacked. First the Pavlovski Guard retook and objective whilst the line Grenadiers held their objective. The Line infantry inspired by Kutusov repulsed the Imperial Guard whilst the Russian Artillery pushed away the French on the Russian left!

Good heavens how many figures?

Stefanpanzer25 Jul 2009 3:59 p.m. PST

Angelbarracks: at a rough estimate 1,200 figures plus 22 guns per side. The infantry are some 150 bases per side. Yup I painted all myself. I have a British army of course! The ACW armies are about the same in overall size; less cavalry more infantry of course.

bonkers, how many years to get that lot painted and assembled?

Bear in mind I can't work normally so have at least two hours a day to work on these; took about 3 months to do the Russians.
