hello, was just wondering..lots of mini painting services, but what we really need is an army basing/rebasing service…If I could find someone to rebase all my WAB armies into FOG and then 3 months later into IMPETUS and base them nicely with movement trays--I would be so happy
is there anyone who specializes in basing painted figs--what a chore

I don't find it a chore. I don't know if it would be economically feasible (mainly because the shipping is going to be expensive compared to the cost of the service), but drop me a line at aecurtisATgteDOTnet if you're interested.

That's why I base on small steel bases. Rebasing an entire army can be done in one Harry Potter movie session. Cut magnet, apply troops, repeat.

"That's why I base on small steel bases."

Ditto. All 28's go on 20mm bases. A magnetized movement tray will fix the base issues.

"Rebasing an entire army can be done in one Harry Potter movie session."

Ah, but the psychological scarring…

Yeah, I'm sticking to the audio-books….

I rebased my Gush Poles to DBR, hoping someone locally would want to play. Nada. They hated DBR. Then Warhammer ECW came out, and Gush would have been perfectly compatible.

I enjoy rebasing, but it takes too long for the scar tissue to grow in.

It takes a lot longer to read Harry Potter when you can't stand the little creep. I finished the last two more out of a sense of "Well, I made it this far…" than from any enjoyment.
I blame a summer of unemployment, and the first 5 books just sitting there.

John, like the missus says, if you're injuring yourself doing it, you're not doing it right.

Maybe we should come up with a service to actually play the wargames, too…. grin

Ahh, wizzers on you guys. I like Harry Potter – the movies and the books.

WAB figures can with magnets and steel sabot bases be easily adapted to FoG with no rebasing from the WAB single figures. Impetus uses larger bases but you could either group 4 FOG bases together or use some sort of fancy movement tray with some terain bits on it and slot the figutres into holes.

i would think that depends very much on how the minis are based now.

if they are based in a way that makes it hard to remove the minis without damage i wouldnt want to do therebasing..

New Rules?

New Figures !

its the only way to go.
If the rules are worth playing, they are worth a new army.

unless, you are only interested in one army , that is, in which case, you probably won't be on these boards either…
