There are a lot of threads on the subject here, but you need to narrow it down – some ranges are very compatible, others not at all
. Also take a look here; there are several comparative reviews between different ranges: link |

For one thing, neither range are Microscale or 20mm. |

Although the Battlefront stuff "tends" to be a little bigger, it's not enough to make a difference. I routinely use BF and CD in the same game (although not in the same units). No one has ever noticed a difference. |

They look find enough on the table. Battlefront are a little chunkier but nothing too bad. |

I find CD figures are better proportioned. FOW figures are a bit more chunky. FOW figures have more "painting real estate" which makes it easier to paint cammo patterns. I think the figures can work well together, but not sure about mixing them on the same base. |

Personally, I find CD's sculpts to be less durable. Gun barrels bending every which way whenever they enter the case, the occasional leg bending, or bayonets snapping off. Maybe it's just the metal, but it seems like Battlefront is just higher quality castings. As for size and detail, they seem very much comparable, and easily mixed. The tanks for CD have less extra bits on them, but come at a price that's hard to beat, and seem to be quite high quality, just stay away from the infantry if you don't want to slowly lose all your bayonets and guns. Or if you know some way to make the blasted bending s stay straight. |

The CD metal, like all the OG metal, is definitely bendy. I have about 2,000 15mm CD figures which I've just painted and I had no problem with broken bits. It does bend (lead content) but it hasn't snapped for me. Same story with 10,000 28mm figures I've had in the last six months. Like you say, hard to argue with the price for CD. |
