At Historicon I stumbled across some great plastic leaves and I immediately saw 28mm feathers.

These were in the dealer area at the display of Pastimes on the Square. They only had one bag which I immediately bought. On talking with one of the gentlemen there, I learned this is sort of a by-product of their Lifelike Little Landscapes items. If I understand it correctly, in making their vegetation pieces , they have to cut a leafe off the bottom of some plastic plant in order to put in the base they make.

ThHey saw these items as leaves only and did not see the application of feathers.

I do a lot of Foundry and Old Glory Indians for my plains wars games. Old Glory warbonnets are okay, but their single feathers leave a little bit to be desired in my opinion. These fill the bill. I have already replaced feathers with these on about 16 figures and am very pleased with the results.

The downside is that they do not regularly list these or even have a name or code number for them. I was told if there was sufficient demand, they would try to make them a regular item.

So, if you are interested, you might email them at Pastimesorder@aol.com. I guess you would ask about the bag of loose plastic leaves the guy at Historicon bought to use for feathers.

Do you have a picture?

I have minimal skill with greenstuff, but I have made some fine feathers for distressed Plains War Comanche figures. You may surprise yourself with the results.

Warlord, I don't have a picture. They are about the size of the feathers on the Foundry plains Indians.

They are feather shaped with a quill and veins on one side. These details do not appear on the other side, but once they were painted, both sides looked great.

Yes, they can be made from green stuff. I do not want to take the time to do that. It is much easier to cement these on.
