Hi everyone:

While cleaning up, I found a few Fantasy Warrior medieval humans sculpted by Mark Coppelstone from Grenadier (now Mirliton SG of Italy. Images of the range can be found here:

I'm not very experienced with medievals, but these figures seem to be very historically inspired rather than pure fantasy. Does anyone know what time period/ conflict/ nationality these figures supposed to represent? I'd like to use them for Basic Impetus and mix in other suitable medieval miniatures from other manufacturers.

Thanks in advance,
Matt

Wars of the Roses, Burgundians, Italian condottieri…

They are based on the Italian city states in the later 15th century.

However, I use them for WOTR. In my opinion the best figures for the period… lovely!!

Thanks for the quick replies.

One other question: What other manufacturers produce medieval ranges that scale well with the Grenadier medievals?

To summarise what the others said: these should work fine for most places in Western Europe from roughly 1450 onwards.

I have got a bunch that I am going to use for making a Burgundian Ordonnance force, complemented by the late medieval range from Crusader.

I would also keep an eye on the upcoming Perry late medieval range, whenever that comes out – could provide a pretty decent match.

I use the Copplestone figures for Burgundians & WotR. I've mixed them mostly with Front Rank WotR but also a few Crusader WotR.

Count me in as another one keeping a hopeful eye on the upcoming Perry range. ;)
