In view of the readerships extensive knowledge of manufacturers and available figures, can any one source the three reprobates from 'Last of the Summer Wine'. Must have Compo, Clegg, and whichever third member of the trio is about. Prefereably 1/48th or close.

Ha! Now that is an interesting idea. I take it that in your game they'd just wander about the village getting into trouble? :-)

Set comes complete with bathtub on wheels!

Foggy?? Though I will be very sad/embarrassed if that's right…

Can I ask Why?

Unrepentant Werewolf 215 Jul 2009 11:39 a.m. PST

Hey, if someone does then I'll buy a set.

Palewarrior15 Jul 2009 11:54 a.m. PST

My Nan would have loved a diorama of those guys!

I'd buy a set; although I think you'd need two to do it right: standing or walking and sitting at pub.

Why don't you suggest it to Artizan? All three would make great pulp civilians, especially Compo; he'd be ideal as the village idiot/spawn of the deep ones.

All you need is three 55 gal oil drums and three sets of legs to come out of them! Saw that episode last night.

I'd love to get a set of those and paint them for my Mom. It's her favorite show.

How could you forget the name of "Truely" of the yard!

Joppyuk16 Jul 2009 2:11 p.m. PST

Answers to some of the questions, I didn't forget 'Truly@ of the yard, but my preffered third member would be 'Blamire', the original third musketeer, played by Michael Bates. I don't want them for gaming, I want them as background on a model railway. For those who have family fans, and want to splash out, then Danbury Mint do a selection of items, including a @Compo' mug and foot high figurines. expensive at about £60.00 GBP each, but then, how much did you spend on your last game unit?
And don't you think the series has gone downhill since the death of Bill Owen? Even Clegg and Truly seem relegated to the backwaters these days. Mind you, the actors are all getting on now so it's understandable.

ah, gentle comedy, which, of course, is a euphemism for Bleeped text comedy….
