Sappers were quite prominent and numerous in the table of organization of the various field forces in the Second Afghan War. My figures are mostly from the Foundry Northwest Frontier range so my question is who makes 28mm sappers that will mix well with them?

Thanks in advance!

The Bombay Sappers and Miners, and the Madras Sappers, can be represented with ordinary Indian infantry. The Bengal Sappers can be represented with Indian infantry or Sikh infantry.

Thanks – No special equipment for the sappers then?

On their persons? No. They often fought as infantry. Accompanied by mules and wagons (find the Wikipedia entry for Bombay Sappers for a photo of a laden mule)? Yes.

Eureka 28mm?

Yes, if you must have some guys digging. But how well do they match with Foundry?

The Eureka figures are on the small side.

Frontier used to make them in their jewel of a "true 25mm" line.
To my eternal chagrin, when I got back into the hobby, I sold mine at a flea market.

frontier figures are, maybe, or not, available from the current mold-holder, but not listed on the website that does not exist anymore.
So, somewhere, there are molds for them. Maybe. Or not…
