Has anyone ever ordered from Aude Historica or have some of their products? I've provided a link to their website for reference:

audehistorica.com

They have some very attractive 15mm miniatures, including a 1/100 scale casting (or maybe a paper model?) of a Bleriot XI aeroplane (including pilot figures), of which a few were used in the Italo-Turkish War of 1911-12, but I've heard a few past comments about slow orders. Hopefully, that's been rectified by now.

Thank you.

Fighting 15s in the UK is where I got mine (Italian Bersaglieri).

Thank you, Mark! I'll go check them out.

By the way, how do they size up on the Barrett scale? Thanks, again.

I currently only hold the figures for the 1st Italian War of Independence 1848. Ugo is trying to get me to take both the WWI and the Colonial (Italians in Africa) lines, to which I will no doubt succumb later this year. However, getting in an entire range is an expensive job, and my priorities lie elsewhere.

Ugo uses a contract caster and therefore supply is sometimes subject to when the caster can fit in his requests. If Aude is cleaned out by the Italian conventions season a delivery can take months (I've just had one take four months to be completed, a record).

Thank you very much for responding, Ian.

My interests do lie in Aude's Colonial Italians, and if you can get some in, that would be excellent. Of course, I fully understand that you do have to make money, and purchasing a whole range would be a notable financial risk. My only other option would be that your friend Ugo will get a full-time caster to meet the demand of his miniatures ranges. I'm certainly no businessman by any stretch of the imagination, but I do understand that running a business involves risk. I've seen that firsthand with the rise and fall of one of my favorite local hobby shops some years back.

Anyway, I'll check back again on your website or here at TMP of any announcements from your company, Ian. In the meantime, very good luck with your enterprise! thumbs up

I have ordered from Aude. Ugo was a great communicator, and I had my figures (colonial Italians for Dogali) in just a couple of weeks. The figures are very nice, with decent heft and animation. Ugo even threw in a freebie. I would order from Aude again without hesitation.
