Hi folks,
Five French Regiments for the War of the Spanish Succession painted up on 60 x 30 bases. Figures are Baccus, based for Polemos rules.

Hi Rhys,

Your photos are a bit dark. You can get better results by using a longer exposure, a tripod, and better lighting. You can buy a couple of angled lamps with 'warm' bulbs for about 10 pounds each from somewhere like Homebase, B&Q. Have the lamps light cross onto the subject from opposite sides to kill shadow. Set the white balance for the camera on a sheet of white paper under this lighting. If you can make a light box to cut out other light sources this will also help.

How are you doing selling WSS figures? I'm painting up 10mm figures for myself. The period seems to be gaining popularity.

You should take a supporting membership on TMP or buy a banner advert. This is cheap and allows you to post advertising on the marketing areas. People may complain if you post adverts onto the 18th century boards.

Cheers

Neil,
Again, thanks for all the advice. Much appreciated. I'll have a wander down Homebase later for the lighting. My girlfriend (I swear she's real folks… O.K so she's invisible and no one can see her but me, but still…), is a photographer but tends to shy away from having anything to do with my hobby/and or painting work.

I've sold a few bases of WSS figures so far. It's definately gaining in popularity, as evidenced by a number of shows that have hosted very well done WSS games.

I've taken out a supporting membership, but so far the editor seems to have been preoccupied with wild show biz parties and living the life of a celebrity wargamer, as it hasn't been processed yet!

Furthmore, apologies for posting this thread anywhere I shouldn't have posted it. If you beat me up for it, please don't hit the face. :)

Cheers!

Rhys

Nice painting job! For 6mm, I've got to say Baccus makes it a lot easier.

Thanks Sven. Got to agree, Baccus sculpts are superb quality.
